Respectfully Part 2: Respect Yourself

Have you ever heard the term, be true to yourself? This is part of being Fully Respectful.

Respecting (being true to yourself) Yourself:

To me that means to respect yourself and not accept anything less than respect from others. To respect yourself is to know where you stand on certain issues and not be dissuaded by outside forces. In other words, do what you know to be right,  stand firm in your convictions.

Remember who you are, don’t allow anyone to downplay your uniqueness or your talents. Not even your family or friends that you believe would have your best interests at heart.

Remember whose you are. You were fearfully and wonderfully created by God.

Remember that people may have may an ulterior motive, but respect yourself enough to hold fast to what is right and do not let anyone convince you to do wrong.

As illustrated in Harold and Tyler Bravery, a group of Bullies disrespected Harold’s new group of friends. Harold took matters into his own hands and ran the Bullies off. The Bullies thought Harold was crazy, but Harold didn’t care. He was not accepting the disrespect 😤!

To fully Respect yourselves, don’t let hurtful people bring you down to their level.

And don’t be one of the hurtful people.

Remain Brave,
Be Kind, and
Exercise Acceptance.
