This story is about a special person that happens to have a speech impairment. He demonstrates that even with this hurdle, a person still has other gifts. The lesson is just because a person has an impairment, he or she should not be shunned or laughed at by his peers.
Adventures with Jugney
In 2015, our personal van, Jugney, gave me the blues for approximately four months. So, I decided to turn those trying times into a fun book for children! Enjoy!!
About the Author
Janet Walton Dukes is originally from Chicago, Illinois. She currently resides in Virginia. She is the mother of one daughter and two sons, and a grandmother of one. Jarrell has Down Syndrome and is the inspiration for the Harold and Tyler books. Jordan is the illustrator of the Harold and Tyler books. Jazalyn is the editor for the Harold and Tyler books. Janet hopes that this book and the series will inspire children and adults alike to accept themselves and others as they are.
